If you have been to the conference before, please consider adding tips to this page.
1) Seek out others from similar industries, common field of practice, or experience and schedule time to talk with them about what you are learning. You'll find that you will learn more through the dialog and will develop relationships that will mean much more to you after you leave. Holly Pendleton
2) Capture notes during the conference. Specifically, document: "Wow" items or "Aha's" -- things that really got you thinking, Tasks that you know you need to do once you get back, people who you met (or didn't yet meet) with whom you want to follow-up, ideas that you want to share with other peers (ex: inside your company) once you return. When you do get back, schedule a call / meeting with peers to share and discuss what you learned. This activity will result in a greater likelihood that your ideas during conference turn into actions later. Holly Pendleton
